INFORMATION:
On the 19th of June, 1973, "The Rocky Horror Show", the brainchild of writer Richard O'Brien, was unleashed on an unsuspecting London audience to great fanfare. The show, which would win two awards for Best New Musical that year, chronicles the adventures of Dr. Frank N. Furter, a mad scientist of sorts, and an assorted cast of other zany characters. Unbelievably, the stage show is still running, as is its 1975 film adaptation, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", which to this day remains the longest running theatrical release in motion picture history.

So, where does tea fit in? Good question. Since it made its NYC debut in 1976, the film has spawned a formidable cult following centered on audience interaction with the screen. Throughout the movie audience members throw all sorts of things at the movie including toast, playing cards, kit kat bars and confetti. (We wouldn't want to have to clean the theatre after a screening!) As a longtime fan of the film, our Master Taster wanted to commemorate it in tea, and while we couldn't very well add toast or playing cards to a blend, we could, and did add the last item mentioned, candy confetti.

As a reference to the film's spicy storyline, we've based the blend on our world famous pumpkin spice blend which combines the flavors of hibiscus, rosehip, rooibos, cinnamon, apple and orange with pieces of tiny candy confetti. A luscious tea - the perfect pick-me-up to enjoy before a midnight screening!
